We all know Cambridge is beautiful city to visit during the day, but did you know it has a vibrant early evening and night-time scene too? From tapas to cocktails, there is lots of fun to be had this festive season.
Festive Fun
It wouldn’t be Christmas without the local Panto and this year Cambridge Arts Theatre plays host to Cinderella. The Corn Exchange has a fantastic Christmas schedule this year, be sure to check them out. If you prefer to be in the driving seat for all the action, head to Slingers on Station Road where you can enjoy a game of Smart Darts whilst having some delicious food & drinks.
We might be heading towards winter, but you can still enjoy a punt along the River Cam – opt for Private Hire shared tours. An evening punt along Cambridge’s iconic Backs on a crisp winter evening is not to be missed and a firm family favourite.
Staying Safe
Cambridge is a Purple Flag City, which is an award that recognises locations that put measures in place to support the safe management after dark (5pm – 5am). We encourage people to go out and have fun but to be cautious, always ensure you have battery in your phone, stay together and look after your friends.
Cocktail Bars
When heading into Cambridge, why not try one of the many cocktail bars dotted throughout the city. If you’re looking for a relaxed vibe, then Graduate Hotel and Parkers Tavern located in the University Arms Hotel offer a tranquil atmosphere serving the most delicious cocktails.
As you venture into town you have got even more choice including Tabouche in Market Passage, La Raza in Rose Crescent, Novi and The Lab on Regent Street to name but a few.
